To advertise on WhatsOnOffer.com.au you first need to become a member - Membership is FREE, click JOIN UP in the top right of the page.
OFFER REDEMPTION INSTRUCTIONS
So that you and your staff are informed on the ways in which your customers can redeem your WhatsOnOffer.com.au Offer, we recommend that you download and print out our Offer Redemption Instruction Sheet. Click HERE to Download.
You will now be automatically redirected to the MANAGE LOCATIONS page. Here you add all your business locations around Australia.
CREATE A BUSINESS PROFILE
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS / CREATE NEW OFFER from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- If this is the first business profile for your account, you will be directed straight to the NEW BUSINESS PROFILE page.
If you already have a business profile you will need to click on the ADD BUSINESS button in the ADVERTISE CONTROL PANEL - Enter your business 'Trading Name', this is what the world knows your business as.
- Enter your business email address i.e. info@yourbusiness.com.au
- Enter your business website address i.e. http://www.yourbusiness.com.au. This is optional but recommended as it will generate traffic to your website!
- Upload your business logo, this logo will appear on your offers. Allowed types: jpg, jpeg, gif, png. Maximum file size: 500KB.
- Click SAVE.
You will now be automatically redirected to the MANAGE LOCATIONS page. Here you add all your business locations around Australia.
ADD OR EDIT A BUSINESS LOCATION
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Click on MANAGE LOCATIONS button in the blue bar.
- To edit an existing location choose it from the 'Select Location' drop-down box, otherwise continue to add a new location.
- Enter your Building, Centre or Complex name if required (Optional).
- Enter your location address, suburb, state, postcode and phone number. If your business has no fixed location enter the address for the capital city your business services.
- A Google ® map of your location should now be visible. You may need to modify the information entered into the building and Address fields to fine tune the map. After changing your address click on REFRESH MAP.
- The location status is available to set a location to disabled, this will remove it from any current offers.
- Click SAVE.
Create all your business locations at once then you are ready to create offers.
CREATE AN OFFER
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Select the business you wish to create an offer for.
- Click on MANAGE OFFERS button in the blue bar.
- The MANAGE OFFERS page lists all you offers and lets you perform many functions to them. To create an offer click on the NEW OFFER button.
Ensure all your business locations have been created before creating an offer.
CREATE AN OFFER: DETAILS
- Select a category that best suits your business and offer.
- An internal offer code is automatically generated for you. This offer code is included in the sms, printed and emailed offer. Please use for your verification of a valid offer redemption.
- Enter your offer in the 'Offer Details' box. The key is to keep it short & sharp. Remember to include any specific conditions on the offer. You are limited to 210 characters.
- The SMS offer is initially generated from your business name, offer code, offer details, and offer expiry date (inserted later). If the SMS offer has more than 125 characters then the number on the side of the SMS box will appear in RED. If this occurs then please modify the text in the SMS text field.If required include a short description of the offer, any applicable conditions and locations for redeeming the offer. Please do not remove the offer code! As you are limited to 125 characters please be creative to make your offer fit i.e. use abbreviations, numbers etc...
- If you have numerous offers and would prefer to use another image that represents your offer rather than your business logo. Click to add an offer logo.
- Click NEXT.
Ensure you are happy with all the entered information before proceeding.
CREATE AN OFFER: DETAILS TIPS
Some tips to help you create a successful offer.
- Keep the offer brief, to the point and be sure to mention any special conditions. You do not need to add a start and end date in your offer description as this is automated when you select your offer duration.
- Where possible put the discount or saving at the start of the offer so when customers are browsing the savings are the first thing they notice.
For example:
If you have an offer that says: Present this offer to receive a discount of 15% off your total bill
Better option: 15% discount off your total bill when you present this offer. - Always try to display the savings or deal the customer will receive by using your offer.
For example:
If you have an offer that says: "$15 lunches when you present this offer", the general public wont know if this is a good deal or not!
Better option: "$15 lunches (Normally $20) when you present this offer". - Don't try to put multiple offers in one offer, why?
a) You will be unable to fit the appropriate description in the the SMS, and
b) It will be rejected during moderation. - If you have to modify the SMS offer to include all your offer details, try these tips:
a) Add "COND. APPLY" if your offer conditions are too long for the SMS.
b) Use abbreviations: LRG = large, REG = regular, SM = small, 1st etc...
For example:
ONLINE OFFER TEXT: GALLERY RESTAURANT OFFER (XXXXXX) 1 FREE DRINK ON PRESENTATION OF THIS OFFER, CONDITIONS: LIMIT 1 DRINK PER CUSTOMER. OFFERS APPLICABLE IN GALLERY RESTAURANT DURING DINNER TIME
SMS OFFER TEXT: GALLERY RESTAURANT OFFER (XXXXXX) 1 FREE DRINK. LIMIT 1 DRINK PER PERSON. COND. APPLY EXP:28/02/2010
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE BUSINESS NAME OR OFFER CODE FROM THE SMS OFFER TEXT.
CREATE AN OFFER: PACKAGE
- Select one of the four offer packages available - TRIAL, BASIC, STANDARD, PREMIUM by checking the select box at the bottom of the package table.
Please note: A trial offer can only be used once per account. - Select an offer duration - 1 to 7 days, one, three or six months.
- Select a start date for your offer. Once your offer has been approved it will appear on the site on this date.
- Select an expiry date for your offer. This is initially set to your selected start date plus the duration of your offer. You may wish to choose an earlier expiry date, however changing the offer expiry date is optional and is offered as a service. There are no refunds or discounts for ending offers earlier than your package duration.
- Each change you make to your offer package will change your current subtotal cost on the right hand side.
- Click NEXT.
Ensure you are happy with all the entered information before proceeding.
CREATE AN OFFER: LOCATIONS
- Click the
button newxt to each state name you wish to list the offer in i.e. South Australia. - Under each state will be your business locations within that state. By default they are all selected. Unselect any locations where the offer is not valid.
- Click NEXT.
Ensure you have added all the states and locations you wish the offer to be valid for before proceeding.
CREATE AN OFFER: CONFIRM
- Check your offer details, SMS details and maps by clicking on the PREVIEW OFFER, PREVIEW SMS and PREVIEW MAP buttons.
- Review and accept the terms and conditions to continue.
- Click on the DISCOUNT CODE button to redeem a discount on your offer listing, you will receive these via WhatsOnOffer.com.au promotions
- Click PROCESS NOW to save everything you have done and continue to make your payment on a secure environment.
- Click FINISH LATER to save everything you have done for later payment.
Check your email program's junk or spam folder to ensure email from WhatsOnOffer.com.au is not being set as junk.
CREATE AN OFFER: PAYMENT
- Payment is processed via Paypal. Paypal gives you the ability to securely pay for your offer via credit card.
- Follow the steps to complete your payment on the paypal website.
- Once complete click on the orange button to return to WhatsOnOffer.com.au
- You new offer is now pending moderation, once approved by our team you will be notified via email and your offer will be listed on the WhatsOnOffer.com.au website on your start date.
Check your email program's junk or spam folder to ensure email from WhatsOnOffer.com.au is not being set as junk.
