ADVERTISE
To advertise on WhatsOnOffer.com.au you first need to become a member and verify your account. Membership is FREE, click JOIN UP in the navigation bar.
OFFER REDEMPTION INSTRUCTIONS
So that you and your staff are informed on the ways in which your customers can redeem your WhatsOnOffer.com.au Offer, we recommend that you download and print out our Offer Redemption Instruction Sheet. Click HERE to Download.
ADVERTISING COSTS
- We deduct a sales commission of 20% on each offer sold.
- Merchant fees of 2.4%, plus $0.30 per transaction is deducted from each transaction.
- As per the terms and conditions, sales revenue from redeemed offers less selling costs (sales commission & merchant fees) including GST are paid fortnightly, 7 days in arrears is paid into your nominated bank account.
HOW DO I GET PAID?
- As customers redeem offers with your business, you must collect the security code and set the offer as redeemed on our website.

As per the terms and conditions, sales revenue from redeemed offers less selling costs (sales commission & merchant fees) including GST are paid fortnightly, 7 days in arrears is paid into your nominated bank account.
VERIFY ACCOUNT
- Click GET STARTED from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- An email will be sent to your email address, please ensure this email has not gone into your spam/junk folder.
- Click on the link within the email to verify your account.
- If successful you will be redirected to create your business profile.
ADD A BUSINESS PROFILE
- Click CREATE NEW OFFER (in the orange box) from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- If this is the first business profile for your account, you will be directed straight to the NEW BUSINESS PROFILE page. If you already have a business profile and would like to add another business, go to the ADVERTISING CONTROL PANEL, click the “select business” drop down list and select “CREATE NEW BUSINESS'
CREATING YOUR BUSINESS PROFILE
- Your Name and Position: Enter your full name and position within the business.
- Website: Enter your business website address i.e. http://www.yourbusiness.com.au. This is optional but recommended as it will generate traffic to your website!
- Email: Enter your business email address i.e. info@yourbusiness.com.au
- ABN & Preferred Business Name: Enter your ABN. Depending on your business type you may be able to select and set your official or preferred business name.
- Upload Logo: Click “choose file” to upload your business logo. This logo will appear on your offers and shop front. Allowed types: jpg, jpeg, gif, png. Maximum file size: 500KB.
- Enter your banking details so we can deposit your campaign proceeds direct to your account.
- Create a public business description so potential customers can read more about your business on your shop front when you have multiple offers running at once.
- Proceed to bank deposit details
BANK DEPOSIT DETAILS
- Bank Name: Type your bank name
- Account Name: Type your account name (Enter your name exactly as it appears on your bank account statement. If the names do not match exactly, the transfer will fail and a return fee will be charged.)
- Account Number: Type your account number, and retype to confirm
- Bank/Branch Number (BSB): Type your BSB number
As per the terms and conditions, sales revenue payments will be paid into this nominated bank account.
BUSINESS PUBLIC DESCRIPTION
- Add a business description so potential customers can read more about your business when you have multiple offers running at once.
- CLICK SAVE
ADD OR EDIT A BUSINESS LOCATION
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Click on MANAGE LOCATIONS button in the navigation bar.
- To edit an existing location, choose it from the 'Select Location' drop-down box, otherwise continue to add a new location.
- Enter your Building, Centre or Complex name if required (Optional).
- Enter your location address, suburb, state, postcode and phone number. If your business has no fixed location enter the address for the capital city your business services.
- A map of your location should now be visible. You may need to modify the information entered into the building and Address fields to fine tune the map. After changing your address click on REFRESH MAP.
- The location “status” allows you to disable specific locations. This will remove the selected location from any current offers.
- Click SAVE.
Create all your business locations at once. When you have added all your locations click finish. Now you are ready to create offers.
CREATE AN OFFER
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Select the business you wish to create an offer for.
- Click on MANAGE OFFERS button in the navigation bar.
- The MANAGE OFFERS page lists all your offers and lets you perform a variety of functions to them. To create an offer click on the NEW button.
Note: Ensure all your business locations have been created before creating an offer.
CREATE AN OFFER: DETAILS
- Category: Select a category that best suits your business and offer.
- Your Offer: Enter your offer in the 'Your Offer' box - remember this is your sales pitch!. The key is to keep it short & sharp. Include 'COND APPLY' if any specific conditions apply to the offer. You are limited to 210 characters.
- Conditions: Add any conditions specific to buying and redeeming the offer in the 'Conditions' box.
- Photos: Add up to 3 photos that show off your business, service or product. Format: .jpg/jpeg | Max Size: 1MB/photo.
VOUCHER SETTINGS (OPTIONAL)
- Internal ID: If required, an internal id code is automatically generated for you. You may change this as you please but it has a maximum of 6 characters.
- Max per Customer: By default customers can purchase any quantity of your offer (up to the available amount of offers), this can be modified by using the dropdown box if required.
- Barcode: Add a barcode number that your point of sale will recognise, the corresponding barcode will be generated on the offer coupon ready for scanning.
- Alternate Website: Change the web address from your business website to an alternate address that relates specifically to your product or service on offer.
- Alternate Logo: If you have numerous offers and would like to use an image that better represents your offer, you can replace your business logo with an another logo. Click to add an alternate logo.
- SMS Text: (Will the sms now just be a message ie “check out the vivid design offer” with a link to the offer? – If so do we need all this SMS text?)The SMS offer text is initially generated from your business name, offer details, and offer expiry date (inserted later). If the SMS offer has more than 96 characters then the number on the side of the SMS box will appear in RED. If this occurs then please modify the text in the SMS text field. If required include a short description of the offer, any applicable conditions and locations for redeeming the offer. As you are limited to 96 characters please be creative to make your offer fit i.e. use abbreviations, numbers etc...
- Ensure you are happy with all the entered information before proceeding. Click NEXT.
GENERAL SELLING TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS
- Keep the offer brief, to the point and be sure to mention any special conditions. NOTE: You do not need to add a start and end date in your offer description as this is done in the offer settings section.
- The success of your campaign relies heavily on the perceived value of the offer. The better the offer, the more sales you will make. We suggest offering no less than a 50% discount to entice customers to make an impulse purchase. Remember, these customers come to your business to redeem the offer (unless your posting an item), giving you the chance to up sell!
- Maximize your offer distribution – Send your offer to your existing customer database instantly using our Bulk email and SMS mailing facility or your own internal marketing. If your business has a social network account (ie Facebook, Twitter), post the offer and spread the word. The more people that see your offer the better! Lastly, If you have the “know how”, you can also cut & past a snippet of HTML code into your website for all your visitors to see and buy!
CREATE AN OFFER: SETTINGS
CAMPAIGN DURATION
- Campaign Start Date: Select your campaign start date - when your offer will be available for purchase.
- Campaign End Date: Select your campaign end date - when your offer will cease to be available for purchase.
- Valid From: Choose offer valid from date - when you accept customers using the offer. Tip: Make it asap.
- Valid Until: Choose offer valid until date - when the offer must be redeemed by.
SALES SETTINGS
- Buy Now Sell Price: Enter the buy now sell price that customers can purchase your offer for.
- Original Value: Enter the original offer value - what the total included value of your offer is.
- Maximum Sales: Enter the maximum number of sales you would like the campaign to sell up to.
The estimated performance calculator will change as you modify the campaign settings. This will assist you to create a campaign to reflect your desired outcome and meet your advertising budget.
BANK DEPOSIT DETAILS
- Check and modify your business banking details
- Click NEXT
Note: Changes to the banking details affect all offers attached to the current business.
CREATE AN OFFER: LOCATIONS
- Click the plus (+) button next to each state name you wish to list the offer in i.e. South Australia.
- Under each state will be your business locations within that state. By default they are all selected. Unselect any locations where the offer is not valid.
- Click NEXT.
Ensure you have added all the states and locations you wish the offer to be valid for before proceeding.
CREATE AN OFFER: CONFIRM OFFER & PROCESS
- Check your campaign settings, details, and maps by clicking on the PREVIEW OFFER button.
- Review and accept the terms and conditions to continue.
- Click PROCESS NOW to save everything you have done and send your offer for moderation.
- Click FINISH LATER to save everything you have done for later editing and processing.
Check your email program's junk or spam folder to ensure email from WhatsOnOffer.com.au is not being set as junk.
CREATE AN OFFER: MODERATION
- You new offer is now pending moderation, once approved by our team you will be notified via email and your offer will be listed on the WhatsOnOffer.com.au website on your specified campaign start date.

EMBED AN OFFER
If you have your own website, put your offers on it!
- Click ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS from the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Select the business and 'Active' offer you wish to embed.
- Click on the EMBED button under the offer list.
- Select the embed code from the popup box.
- Send this code to your web developer, or just paste this into your website code at the appropriate spot.

SEND AN OFFER TO MAILING LIST
If you have your own mailing list, send your offers to it!
- Once you have an 'Active' offer, Click on MAILING LISTS on the MY ACCOUNT page.
- Click CREATE NEW LIST, upload your current mailing list as a CSV file and follow the steps to import your contact list.
- Select your mailing list and select whether to send your offer by SMS, email or a mixture of both!
Please note: For legal reasons, you must have the consent of any recipients on your list.
ADDING SMS CREDIT
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to have additional SMS credit
- Click the CREDIT button
- There are four SMS packages to choose from, once you have decided on a selection, press the ADD TO CART button corresponding to that package
- Click the CHECKOUT button when you have finalised your credit top up - You will be redirected to the secure PAYPAL site to finalise your purchase, simply follow the prompts. Once you click PURCHASE, you have 10 minutes to finalise your purchase.
COPYING AN OFFER
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to copy and click COPY
- Follow the prompts as per usual for listing an offer and make any adjustments if needed.
- If you have previewed your offer and are happy with the final details and have read the Terms & Conditions, tick the box.
- Click PROCESS NOW - You will be redirected to the secure PAYPAL site to finalise your purchase, simply follow the prompts. Once you click PURCHASE, you have 10 minutes to finalise your purchase.
PAUSE AN OFFER
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to pause and click PAUSE
The offer status will now show as ‘Paused’ and will not be available to browsers
RESUME AN OFFER
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to resume advertising and click RESUME
The offer status will now show as ‘Active’ and will again be available to browsers
DELETE AN OFFER
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to delete and click DELETE
- An ALERT! Notice will appear, if you are sure you would like to continue and delete the selected offer, click YES. If you have changed your mind, click NO
- If you click YES to offer will be permanently removed and will no longer be visible from the list or advertised for browsers to purchase
- If you click NO, you will go back to the list of offers
EDIT AN OFFER
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE OFFERS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the offer you require to edit and click EDIT
- Follow the prompts as per usual for listing an offer and make any adjustments if needed.
- If you have previewed your offer and are happy with the final details and have read the Terms & Conditions, tick the box.
- Click PROCESS NOW
Note: Active offers cannot be edited once they are live.
SALES REPORTS
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select SALES MANAGER in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select SALES REPORTS from the menu bar
- Select the business name for the report required from the drop down box
- Select the offer for the report required from the drop down box
- Select the location of the offer for the report required from the drop down box
- The details will now be available for you to see how many offers have sold, how many offers are remaining, dates the offer has sold, how many were purchased for themselves, how many were purchased as a gift and total sales including GST.
PAYMENT REPORTS
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select SALES MANAGER in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select SALES REPORTS from the menu bar
- Select the business name for the report required from the drop down box
- Select the offer for the report required from the drop down box
- The details will now be available for you to see your payments due for that particular campaign including GST
VIEW STATISTICS
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select CAMPAIGN STATISTICS in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the business name for the statistics required from the drop down box
- Select the date period required from the drop down box
- Click GO
- Select the offer required from the drop down box
- Click GO
SHOPPING CART INTEGRATION
To use your offer redemption codes in your shopping cart checkout process, follow the instructions below to download a .csv once your offer has been moderated.
- Go to MY ACCOUNT page
- Select MANAGE SALES in the orange ADVERTISE banner
- Select the business required from the drop down box
- Select the offer required from the drop down box
- On the left hand side of the page is a link to download the REDEMPTION CODE LIST
